Arbour Gardens

Magaliesburg Self-catering in Magaliesburg
Arbour Gardens

Arbour Gardens offers two self-catering country cottages set within 6 hectares of land in Magaliesburg. The property is set on the outskirts of the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site and nestled in one of the most scenic sites right on the banks of the Magalies River; this makes it the ideal getaway for couples or families.

Enjoy lying by the river listening to the soothing sound of running water, or get out and about with lots to do in the surrounding area. Swim some lengths in the deep, blue swimming pool, catch a tan on a sunlounger or meditate in the Japanese Garden.

The sleepy little village of Magaliesburg lies in the Witwatersberg and its nearest neighbours are Doornhoek and Hekpoort; it’s an easy hour’s drive from Johannesburg. Magaliesburg serves as a weekend Mecca and tourist destination that offers numerous country restaurants, hiking trails, birdwatching opportunities, rock climbing, hot-air ballooning and mountain biking. Driving through the little towns in and around Magaliesburg is a pleasant afternoon meander.

Natalie was an absolute darling she made our stay very comfortable, the linen and house was veryclean and fresh. The little details in the house completed our stay and we felt home. I'll recommend this place to any one planning to visit Magaliesburg. I'll certainly be back. Great value for money.

The place is nothing short of stunning. It is situated adjacent to the magalies river and is home to an abundance of plant and small woodland creatures like squirrels and monkeys! Very entertaining to watch! The house is immaculately kept and very tastefully decorated! The kitchen looks as if it was featured in an edition of house and home! Massive, very well equipped and practical! There are ample spots set up around the house to sit and enjoy the beauty of it all! Hosts Natalie and Steve were a delight as they left us to our romantic weekend and didnt make a nuisance of themselves with time consuming small talk as is the case with a lot of other establishments! For an introverted couple that was amazing for us! We loved every moment of our stay and HIGHLY RECOMMEND it for people who seek peace and quiet away from the chaos of city living! Just a word of caution, the road (about 300m) of it between the R24 and the gate is a tad too rough for low cars. Small cars like our toyota tazz and citi golfs can make it though with ease albeit slowly. We will definitely be going back next month! <br/>
